A Man Got High on 52 Different Drugs Then Drew These Trippy Self-Portraits

Following in the tradition of generations of psychonauts with sketch pads, pastels, and pacifiers, Bryan Lewis Saunders made a whole collection of self-portraits while tripping on drugs.

Basically, he took this highly personal experience and turned it into one that everyone can share. These mind-blowing portraits were made on a vast array of different substances, ranging from anti-depressants, to salvia, to “prison wine.”

Saunders writes that he took a different drug every day to see how it affected his self-perception. Within weeks, he “became lethargic and suffered mild brain damage” — so do I really need to recommend you don’t try this experiment at home?

Today, he continues the experiment, but only with drugs he’s given by medical professionals for unrelated health problems. See below:
