One of the World's Most Expensive Sex Toys

Fornicari, a newly launched erotic art and adult toy shop for "the elite," has one big surprise in its showcase: a vibrator that will cost you more than $1 million.

It's called The Pearl Royale, and its appearance suggests it's fit for a queen. Created by Australian jeweler Colin Burn, the made-to-order piece is composed of solid platinum and bejeweled with pink and white diamonds, blue sapphires, and South Sea pearls. Stylistically, its crown-shaped top connotes royalty -- or, say, something that would be perfect for the paramour of a Russian oligarch. The South Sea pearl at the top of the device functions as a key to operate it or can be detached and worn as a necklace. If you want all your friends to know just how fancy you like your bespoke love, the custom tool comes in a wall-mountable display box.

The $1.3 million vibrator is one of a carefully curated luxury collection of similarly high-end erotic accoutrements offered by Fornicari. Its target consumer: "high net-worth clients." It's the progeny of Alison Bradford, a Scottish business woman whose Twitter profile describes her as: "Entrepreneur, Life-lover, Optimist, Aberdeen Appreciator, Mother of two Mexican Chibabas!"

In a press release, Bradford states: "The pieces that we boast are luxury items that can be added to an erotic art collection or gifted to a special person to share the benefits and pleasure." One hopes that one's pleasure might be maximized in direction proportion to the amount one spends on a wildly expensive pleasure product. The site is aiming to be the bespoke provider to those with exorbitant budgets and imaginations, noting, "Fornicari guarantees its clients that if their luxury can't be found, it can be created!"

Fornicari's other offerings include the Tally Ho Chair, created by artist Mark Brazier-Jones and which was featured in "Fifty Shades of Grey." The erotic furniture consists of Italian emerald velvet, a saddle on a brass-plated steel horse base, and stirrups and reins. According to the product description, it can be "used an ornate feature piece or an opulent aid to sexual discovery." That will run you around $15,000.

Renowned erotic connoisseur and "sexual anthropologist" Betony Vernon's much coveted designs are also available on the site, the most pricey of which is a Ben-Wa Chain Collier. It can be worn as a belt or used to assist you in your daily kegel exercises. For around $30,000.

For the special man on your list. Fornicari might point you to Dutch designer Jelle Plantenga's Velv'Or line. A whopping $183,000 will get you the King JCobra ring -- which, to put it delicately, is the type of ringthat can only be worn by a man. For a price, you can add a pearl to the snake's mouth, have the piece engraved with a name or "personal message," and delivered in a box made by the "master craftsmen of Bentley and Rolls Royce." The website also has directions on how to measure yourself for the proper size ring, including graphics.
