Wish Your Orgasm Could Last Longer?
Time to increase your daily allotted masturbation time.
Women may orgasm for 17 percent LONGER when using a vibrator than with manual masturbation. A new scientific study looked at how differently women experience manual masturbation and masturbating with a vibrator — and the results even surprised the doctor.
Lovehoney, a lingerie and sex toy retailer, had women test out the newly-updated Happy Rabbit vibrator in a lab setting. They found that when using the Happy Rabbit, the women had orgasms that were about 17 percent longer than when they masturbated manually.
They gathered a diverse group of mostly heterosexual woman, whose average age was 31, to compare the different methods. Dr. Prause then measured 'what happens physically and mentally as a woman approaches orgasm,' including anal contractions, galvanic skin response, electroencephalography (brain activity), and emotional states.
Not only did using a vibrator result in a longer orgasm but it took women longer to reach climax with the vibrator as well. When using the vibrator, they took an average of 26.4 minutes to orgasm, compared to 6.5 minutes for manual masturbation.
'Our original hypothesis was that the Happy Rabbit would bring women to orgasm quicker than manual masturbation,' explained Dr. Prause. 'However, we found that women wanted to play, explore and enjoy their new toy, which resulted in a longer lasting sexual experience with broader physical sensations and more excitement than using their hand alone.'
When using a new sex toy, women take more time to get used to it and test it out. The study also found that women's alpha brainwave levels increased sooner with the vibrator, which suggests that achieving orgasm requires less effort with a vibrator. Minimal effort and longer climax? Count me in.
